Comfy but too wide too wear with sleeveless tops

I am a UK size 30dd/32d but since I have a couple of the gita bras in XS ,I thought I'd try this one in XS also. It is beautifully made and the underbust band and seamed cups are incredibly comfy and fit me so perfectly, but there's something about the cut of the straps that's too wide for me, I can only wear it with the straps crossed over at the back or the straps fall down and even with the cross-back-straps the front straps are too wide and come a bit too much towards the armpit, so can be seen with sleeveless tanks. I can wear with sleeved shirts but wish the straps weren't cut as wide in the XS, I'm 5ft6 so hardly petite.
